Threshold

I have an obsession with Target like most. It is impossible to walk in and only purchase what you originally went for. Along with the necessities I always end up buying at least one extra item, whether that be nail polish, a magazine, pajamas, or something for my apartment. Target's new Threshold line for the home started trickling in last fall but has so many new incredible items coming out this Spring (Happy First Day of Spring, by the way!).

These are some of my favorite things that Threshold has right now (many are only sold online). Threshold has a great selection of fun placemats, I love the orange ombre for Spring and lots of fun things for the kitchen, like towels and quirky table wear like this "Yum" dessert plate. Some of my favorite items are the furniture, like the mirrored accent table and the two tiered table that would make the cutest bar cart!

All of these items shown are available online and keep checking back there and in stores for the newest Spring items! I know that a hot pink side table will be coming soon!

Apartment Inspiration

No words needed, I love all of this inspiration and will be using all of it now that I have the decorating bug again (now that I know I will be staying in my apartment for another year).

Itching to rearrange... this is always dangerous.

Dream Land

Kelly, from Fabulous K (one of my favorites), was featured over here at La Dolce Vita, talking about what her dream home would be.
She featured gorgeous pictures that she would like in her own NYC apartment and if this dream home existed I would be over for sleepovers, game nights, and dinner parties all the time.

These are just a few of the lovely rooms she has floating around her head.

My dream house would be in California or Colorado. Some place that I could look out the windows and see either the ocean or the mountains. Every room would feel like home, even to a stranger, and the kitchen would always smell like chocolate chip cookies.
Here are a few of my own ideas of my dream home.

I love that this bedroom isn't exactly a grand master bedroom but perfect for me with a candle, fresh flowers and a stack of books in arms reach and breakfast, coffee, and a laptop on the bed.

A closet full of fun goodies is a necessity. This makes me swoon.

That's the guesthouse in the back. It's my dream house and I can dream as big as I want.

Until next time.
Dreaming of a home office where I blog all day for pay.

Proud Mary

"well I left a good job in the city
working for the man every day and night
and I never lost one minute of sleeping
worrying 'bout the way things might have been"

Obsessing over Proud Mary Textiles

I wonder what she is day dreaming about?

(newly added to my daily blog roll, which makes 42... how do I get anything else done? Oh, I don't)

Until next time.

Good Morning Beautiful

Most of our sweet, little home is finished, with paintings on the wall and pictures in the frames.
Then there is my room... which is about 85% completed. And by that I mean that one panel of drapes is hung and I nailed a few frames to my wall today. So I guess that makes it about 89% finished.

One major area of concern is my bed, which really is the most important thing within a bedroom and yet mine is still lacking.
But these bedrooms... swoon.

It's probably a good thing my room doesn't look like these or I would never leave.

From these pictures I have come to the conclusion that I need some great art and a bench for the end of my bed. Oh and maybe some natural light which I cannot seem to find in my bedroom.

Until next time.
Is it bedtime yet?

Things I Love

This will be, without a doubt, my favorite "Things I Love" post because, without a doubt, the thing I am about to tell you about is the love of my life.

My new house that I share with my two best friends.
And the fourth member of our little group comes to visit whenever she can, so really I share it with my 3 best friends, the more the merrier!
The living room
Three kate spade prints for three kate spade loving girls.

Allow me to lead you into the kitchen.
Recognize those Kiss Cookies?
Aprons!

And a few pictures from my room.
My bed isn't quite perfect yet and I'm lacking wall decor and curtains, but I wanted to share my favorite part so far.

My original closet was a little small and hard to maneuver so I opted for a clothes rack in my room.

I could not be more obsessed with the new house.

No house is really a home until you have a Volcano candle, because who doesn't want their house smelling like an Anthropologie? Let me rephrase that, who doesn't wish that they lived in an Anthropologie?

Until next time.
Hello. I live here : )

Stripes and Spots

Have I mentioned yet how excited I am to move into my new house?
I'm sure I have. All I think about these days, other than fashion and food, is decorating ideas for my sweet little house, my bedroom in particular.
All inspiration came from a turquoise and red floral painting that my mom and I found that we planned to hang above my bed, then tying in all other colors with pillows, curtains, and of course my favorite red chair. So what a surprise to us when we went to look at my house for measurements when we remembered that EVERY wall in my bedroom is slanted. EVERY SINGLE ONE. Which means that nothing at all will be hanging on my walls, not my floral painting, the giant inspiration/bulletin board, or the framed cards I bought months ago.

Plan B.

via. Oh Joy!
We are going to have to paint. There is really no other option. As much as I love the all white, clean and crisp feel of a bedroom, I was so looking forward to this room feeling very homey and that includes color and lots of it.
I see a summer paint project in my near future (well that is if my landlord allows it).

Until next time.
Feeling dotty.
