Coffee Talk

I am so excited to introduce a new "Peony For Your Thoughts" blog feature, starring none other than, Starbucks.
I had the idea for this new semi-regular blog post Wednesday morning while drinking a honey-vanilla latte from Starbucks. I discovered this drink while reading the September issue of Matchbook Magazine when Meritt Elliott shared that her favorite drink was a honey-vanilla latte.
I immediately made a note of the drink in my phone and a short seven hours later I was at my neighborhood Starbucks ordering a grande skinny vanilla latte and adding my own honey at the sugar station.
This drink was delicious and sweeter than my traditional, plain latte but such a treat today and I enjoyed every last drop.

I have never been that original when it comes to ordering at Starbucks. I either stick to my plain coffee (for a quick and satisfying drink) or a nonfat latte (with a sprinkle of cinnamon on top to add a little something).

When I do venture out and try new drinks it is always because of a personal recommendation from a friend, a mention of a drink order on twitter, or pure eavesdropping on the order of the person in front of me in line. Through these very successful techniques I have discovered some of my favorite, specialty drinks.

Through this new blog feature I want to share those drinks with you, because as I always say, "some things in life are too sweet not to be shared" and in the case of this honey vanilla latte, that is absolutely true.

Please leave a comment if you have a favorite drink that you would like to be to try and feature!
I am always looking to branch out to add some spice to my coffee.

Let's meet for coffee soon.

  1. skinny cinnamon dolce latte! or a nonfat cappuccino, wet, with 2 pumps sugar free caramel. Starbucks is not usually awesome at cappuccinos (few people order these there, they spotlight lattes) so I stick to that order at local coffee shops. you can also try a pumpkin chai(half of each flavor)...I haven't, but a lady in front of me ordered it and it sounds right up your alley :)
